Mackenzie

Mackenzie is the founder of Mystery Living as well as a business teacher at Burlington High School. Mackenzie has a deep heart for the hurting, the outcast, the reject and the lost and broken. She spends her days with teens teaching them about marketing, running a business, graphic design and leadership skills. Her dream is to open a teen facility that serves Eastern Colorado teens (and one day her own kids) by providing a rad space to hang out and bump into Jesus. She strongly believes that ministry happens in the streets and in the halls and that Jesus will meet you in the middle of your mess, on the court as well as in the classroom.

What does a typical day look like:

My days are spent with over 100 teens that come and go throughout my classroom. I teach in total eight different subjects throughout the year so I get to know a whole lot of teens that walk through the halls of Burlington High School. I am also a mom and wife to my three amazing kiddos and my amazing husband. Our life looks a little chaotic and on the go, but I am super thankful for my family and their willingness to keep showing up.

Three words that describe you:

Creative, Community, Lover of Jesus.

What drives you to see Mystery Living succeed?

Having a heart for teens who don't fit the "church world" but still want a relationship with Jesus.
